Up and down - Project "Cute Symphony" (Marie Welcker)

Up and down

Up and down

The fat, slimy frog is bouncing his butt up and down

He seems to be dancing

He has some sort of rhythm to his slow twerking

His movements are abrupt and smooth at the same time

His big dark eyes stare at you

As he wobbles up and down

Up and down

You can hear birds chirping and calling to attract your attention

But this frog right here is the main attraction

Their bright and colorful feathers don’t catch your eye

They are just extras to this little show of his

You could recognize those squeaks from a mile away

Your dog is playing with his rubber duck again

The frog is going to jump at you anytime now

Assuming that this weird little dance of his is some sort of warm-up

But you’re not even moving

He has you wrapped around his slimy sticky fingers with that hypnotizing ass-shaking of his

The birds are getting louder now, more persistent

And they brought friends

What the hell is that Furby doing here?

A snake is hissing

Making her way through the chaos

The fat, slimy frog is bouncing his butt up and down

Up and down

What is that noise?

Is this jungle under reconstruction?

The dancing frog is screaming now

Defending his territory

You can hear an elephant trumpeting

A cat is meowing

Your phone is ringing

Is that a monkey over there?

You’re losing focus

You’re losing the frog

What is going on?

There he is again

Bouncing his butt up and down

Up and down

You hear an owl hooting from above

As a crocodile crawls its way towards you

The fat, slimy frog is bouncing his butt up and down

Up and down

Suddenly, the frog and his contestants are gone

The jungle has transformed into a disco

These construction workers are really fast

You’re standing in the middle of a dance floor

There is a disco ball above you that has lost its original round shape

Out of the dark, giant pink creatures emerge

They seem to be from another world

What kind of club is this?

Their tentacles glisten in the disco light

Their flower-like heads glow

The one-eyed figures are observing you

Probably judging your boring body

Like, why can’t you glisten and glow in the dark, human?

Floating in slow motion

They surround you on the dance floor

Their eyes hypnotize you as they begin to wiggle their tentacles

Their heads bob to the beat

Performing some choreography around you

Perfectly in sync

Are they hitting on you?

Is this a mating dance?

They wiggle their tentacles

Their heads bob to the beat

A cat is meowing

There’s the twerking frog again

The fat, slimy frog is bouncing his butt up and down

Up and down

Someone is burping

Is that a pig?

The fat, slimy frog is bouncing his butt up and down

Up and down

The birds are back

Disturbing the frog and his rhythm

Why is he stopping?

What are those noises?

Are the birds fighting now?

They sound like a broken record

The fat, slimy frog is bouncing his butt up and down

Up and down

Is somebody honking back there?

You’re transported back to the dance floor

The one-eyed figures are observing you

They are wiggling their tentacles

Their heads bob to the beat

The flower squids have picked up the pace

Showing off the best moves they got

You join them for a while

Questioning if you’re high

Their skin glistens in the disco light

Their flower heads glow

They are wiggling their tentacles

Their heads bob to the beat

Performing some choreography around you

Perfectly in sync

Maybe they really are hitting on you

You hope they don’t make a move

The dancing is slowing down again

You hear someone knocking on your door

The flower squids lose their rhythm

You see the fat, slimy frog one last time

Going Up and down
